Meet Maggie

After 30 years working in an office, Maggie was ready for something different — something creative, something social, and something she could share with the people she loves.

It started with a two-day fused glass course with her daughter. From the moment the glass went into the kiln, she was hooked. The colours, the possibilities, the joy of creating something completely unique — it felt like discovering a whole new world.

Glassy Butterflies was born from that feeling. Maggie wanted to give others the same experience — a chance to slow down, get creative, and make something beautiful with their own hands. No experience needed. No pressure. Just good company and gorgeous glass.

Whether you join one of her workshops at a local venue, host a private session with friends, or order a DIY kit to try at home — Maggie's goal is simple: to bring people together and give everyone the tools to create something they're proud of.

What is fused glass?

Fused glass is the art of arranging pieces of glass and firing them together in a kiln at high temperatures. The result is a unique, permanent piece — no two ever exactly alike. It's tactile, therapeutic, and endlessly creative.
